Model Profile: Omahyra Mota

Omahyra Mota Garcias was born on November 30th 1984 in the Dominican Republic, and moved to New York at age 10 with her family. Her mother always believed that she would one day become a model and constantly urged her to send photos of herself to modeling agencies and told her everyday that someday she'd be famous. She was discovered by age 16 by Boss Models and walked her first show for Miguel Adrover's Spring 2001 show and since then has made quite an impact on the modeling world.

Omahyra possesses amazing natural features, dark piercing eyes, deep olive skin, a feline like structure and simply one of the most amazing facial construction in the world. Her magic has always been in the way she moves or doesn't move whether she is on the runway or doing editorials.

At 16 years old Omahyra was voted one of the 50 most beautiful people by Paper Magazine in 2001 and had already graced the pages of Italian, German and Nippon Vogue,the face, ID and Numero magazine. Had walked for Gucci, Fendi, Dolce&Gabbana, Bottega Veneta, Roberto Cavalli, Alexander McQueen, Moschino, Jean Paul Gaultier and others. she was flown in especially by Gwen Stefani for L.A.M.B.'s show during New York's 2005 Fashion week.

She was the face of Jean Paul Gaultier "Fragile" Fragrance, Baby Phat, Dakota, Charles David, Ecko, Rocawear, Jean Paul Gaultier jeans. Has been in the cover of many magazine such as Jalouse, French, Oyster, Metro Pop, Neo2, Trace, Oneworld and others
Omahyra has also appeared in movies such as X-Man The Last Stand, State Property 2 and After the Sunset.
