Introducing Designer Jose Duran...

Fashion designer Jose Duran is a Dominican working hard in the fashion industry to make a name for himself, he is recognized as one of New York's most distinctive young artist. After spending three years in college studying international relations he decided to turn to fashion design and merchandise. Upon finishing fashion school he began working with designers such as B-Michael, Diane Von Furstenberg, Nathan Jenden and others. After a couple of years working for these designers he decided to go on his own and it sure has payed off, so much that he showed his first Men's collection in Paris fashion week last month.

His recent Fall/Winter 09.10 collection was inspired by Romans and the freedom ladies used to have during carnabal and also by paganism.

Duran has been previously inspired by a church massacre in his hometown during the Haitian revolution.
