Marihenny interviews for Vogue Italia
Having an opportunity to meet and witness purity is actually soothing. That is my experience making the acquaintance with Marihenny. I appreciate her personal commitment. Born in the Dominican Republic, she has learned english, can write it pretty well and dreams of being a star. Simple and to the point. Let me add, she loves her family, believes in God, and misses her beautiful island life.
It can't get any easier than that... simple simplicity. Nothing too complicated. I had the pleasure of meeting Marihenny at the casting I held for the designer Duro Olowu, he was showing for the first time in New York. We both looked at Marihenny and with no hesitation booked her for our presentation.
She has a added beauty. Something you can't explain. I find it helps round out the others beauties in a model cabine as well. Its fresh, with a refreshing personality. She told me that her father was once a model in Santo Domingo and he is proud of her efforts. I too am proud. Marihenny is truly brand new, her first season in New York and so far has began to show promise.
Her editorials has been with V Magazine with Mark Pillai, Italian Vanity Fair and Nylon w Chris Craymer.
